Always shop around for your honeymoon planning. One place not to miss is Bookit. They have some fantastic deals and they aren’t that well known (perhaps the reason they have good deals). It’s definitely a place worth looking into.

If you’re like many brides, you might have lived on your own for awhile. In fact, you and your husband to be might even have lived together and have a home. In those cases, you may not need any of the traditional weddings. People still want to wish you well. What about a honeymoon registry? Check it out.
Think about where you want to have a honeymoon ahead of time. You’ll usually get the best deals on airfare if you book early. Even cruises have better deals for booking early. Don’t always assume that the first price you see will be the lowest, so check several times over a few weeks. However, make make sure you book several months in advance, if possible to get the best prices.
Don’t have that time? Check out the LAST minute deals too. This is especially true if you have a flexible work schedule.
Wherever you end up going on your honeymoon, it’s worth checking out slightly different dates before you go. If you would normally have wanted to leave immediately after the wedding or the next day, just for fun check prices for leaving that Tuesday. Sometimes you’ll find that you’ll get a better deal leaving on a “strange” day rather than the more traditional dates.
The internet makes this so easy, unless your schedule is really rigid, the few moments it takes to do this can be well worth it.
One way to save money is to go on your honeymoon in the off season. Remember different areas have off seasons. If you have a summer wedding, then maybe a trip to Hawaii is good. Hawaii’s high season is in January.
Europe’s high season is the summer. Maybe even an April or October trip (when the weather is still relatively good) is a good deal.
In Canada, Banff, known for it’s skiing, is actually BEST known for it’s summer hikes. It’s a gorgeous place to ski and you can get some lovely deals. Remember though, it’s pretty far north. Banff in January may be colder than you want to ski!
Hurricane Season is the off season in the Carribbean. While I don’t think anyone wants to run into a hurricane, Sandals Resorts offer a hurricane guarantee. There are some restrictions (such as the hurricane has to hit during your vacation but if it’s a miss or down graded to a tropical storm the guarantee doesn’t hold), so read carefully!
